Around 5 years ago I began suffering from sciatic nerve pain that I have not been able to get rid of despite Dr's appointments,
medication, physio stretches, wearing bracing, resting it and exercises. At only now 28 years old, I should have been able to heal
relatively quickly.
I have been to see Fan Zhou at the Aberdeen Acupuncture Clinic a number of times now, and it is the ONLY
treatment I have ever had that has been able to relieve my pain.
On one occasion, the pain had traveled from my back into my hip
and groin area, making it very painful to sit, walk and even touch!
The first needle was inserted into the outer side of my ankle
before he moved up to my hip and asked me to show where the pain was - and I could not find it. I kept pressing around where it had been
gradually getting more and more painful for weeks - but I could no longer find the very tender area. I was amazed and was told it was
due to the needle that was put in my ankle- given my level of skepticism, it would be an understatement to say I was pleasantly
surprised and amazed at the effectiveness of the treatment both during it and in the coming days/ weeks.
This is just an example of
one of a handful of the appointments I have had, but approximately 10 months later and although I do get a dull ache in my hip (I had a
long period where no treatment was received) the pain has never even come close to reaching the same level it was beforehand.
Absolutely worth every penny and, although I can't seem to work out WHY acupuncture works or HOW it works- it most certainly did
work and far better than any other method I have tried before.
