I had a very restricted passing of urine which, in turn, I was unable to empty my bladder. This, along with the discovery of a sizeable
Jack stone in the bladder, required me to have two procedures - removal of the said stone and also tissue from the Prostate.
I was
under the care of my Consultant Urological Surgeon, Mr. Roland England, who was, and is, absolutely brilliant. Very informative, very
thorough, explained everything very clearly and was very reassuring with a calming sense of humour. A truly excellent and decent
person.
Needless to say, Mr. England was supported by a fantastic, caring, Woodland Hospital (Ramsay Health Care) staff who, quite
frankly, could not have done any more to make my whole experience and journey go so smoothly. Being admitted into hospital is not on
everyone's 'bucket list', however I feel I have to mention a few of the staff, and their departments, who helped me through my highly
successful three day stay from beginning to end. Namely, Heidi and her team in Pre-Assessment, Ward 2 nurses Emma and Michelle, Hugo and
Alex, Katie (HCS), Cameron and 'Manny' (Anaesthetists) and all the Theatre staff overseen by Mr. England. Also, Lisa in Recovery, Joseph
(Pharmacy), Brian, Cheryl and Sharon who provide excellent catering and, of course, Glyn and his very welcoming Reception team.
I
apologise to those I have not mentioned as there are so many who are on hand and who just called in to see how I was and if I needed
anything.
I summarising, my whole experience at The Woodland Hospital in Kettering was very welcoming, caring and extremely
professional.
Thankyou so much.
