Pre and post-surgery in the hospital, I was able to enjoy free Wi-Fi and watch TV. Many excellent staff, and quality nursing. I was
first on the surgical list, so there was a little bit of rushing with the Physio, but that was later amended.
The Anaesthetist was an
absolute gentleman and coped well with my attempts to discuss work whilst falling asleep - also the best canulation I've ever had, I
barely felt it.
The only blemish was a grumpy nurse that made a few snide comments towards me, post surgery. It wasn't anything
especially unpleasant but it was at a vulnerable time when I had just woken from surgery, and it left a harsh stain on an otherwise
perfect canvas.
Otherwise, the food was lovely, the level of care was brilliant and one day post surgery, I'm more mobile than I've
been for months!
The surgeon explained what had been done in detail and if I require further treatment or any care then I hope to
have the same staff again as they really worked hard to ensure my time was as comfortable as possible.
Apart from that one rather
unnecessary bit of grief, the food is great, the level of care has been excellent and I've almost figured how to walk with
crutches.
Otherwise, though, very happy!
