A great little hospital with superb nursing care - a testament to the way Ramsay recruits and trains. The absence of frilly interiors
was positively reassuring that this hospital was all about quality of care, patient safety and treatment outcomes which is what I valued
above all else. All credit to Martin Bircher for choosing to practice at The Ashtead. Coming from A&E as a RTA victim, nothing could
have been more welcoming that seeing him and being there!

This was my second visit to The Ashtead Hospital under Dr Shakhil Rahman with issues around the chest infection and Asthma. I first met
Dr RahmaIn after breast cance, surgical complications in November 2008.I truly believe I would not be where I am today without his
amazing brand of holistic care he provides for myself and my family. I then had the misfortune to have a sking accident in March 2011
when I needed a surgical plate implanted in August 2011 and removed in January 2012. On this occasion I used Mr Cobb at the Ashtead
Hospital. At all visits the staff from reception, to doctors, porters to radiographers, to domestics, nursing staff to secretaries have
treated myself and my family with the utmost respect and dignity. Their teamwork is amazing. As a manager and a tutor/trainer in Health
and Social care this gives me a total unique and qualified perspective of the Ashtead Hospital Experience. I would give them all 6 stars

For reasons that are unclear, I have had problems with hip replacements. The first was performed at Epsom in November 2009, but the NHS
could not schedule the second, unplanned operation so close to Christmas. The second was performed at Ashtead in December 2009
necessitating an unplanned stay over Christmas. I am sure the surgeon and anaethetist would have preferred to have been at home during
an evening a couple of day before Christmas.! The hospital was almost devoid of other patients but the catering staff laid on an
excellent Christmas lunch for my family and me. I am now recovering from a third hip replacement! As I said, the resons are unclear,
but the device used has been failing at a significant rate, and a decison was taken to replace for a third time. Once again, I have only
praise for the surgeon, anaethetist, physiotherapists and in particular for the nursing staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. It
is worth noting that many of the nurses were those that had looked after me a year before. I just hope that I don't have reason to see
them all again!

I was involved in a very serious road traffic accident and I have been admitted in several hospitals to do my surgeries and
rehabilitation. Ashtead hospital really stands out amongst all those hospitals as my favorite one. The teams of nurses,
physiotherapists, doctors, porters and catering staff made my stay a very comfortable one indeed. It felt like being at home but with
professional and efficient medical treatment. I am particularly grateful to the nurses who were always available and concerned about my
pain. It would be too long to name them all at the 2nd Floor they know who they are (Dear Sister Helen please say hello to them all..)
and I am forever indebted to them for their patience, sense of humour and kindness. I was also very lucky to have found at Ashtead an
outstanding physiotherapists department; for me they went far beyond the call of duty to make me walk again this is also something I
will never forget (Thank you Fiona, Sue and team!). Finally I know that all this was masterminded brilliantly by Mr Bates, his staff and
top surgeons who must certainly be counted amongst the best in with a world class reputation (believe me looking at my X Rays) such as
Mr Bircher. At Ashtead everybody cares&
