Having unsightly varicose veins for many years, and after having them stripped 18 years ago and them returning, I was keen to have them
sorted once and for all. However, I also have a very real phobia of needles and a very low pain threshold so choosing between 'vanity'
and 'suffering' was a difficult decision. From the start, the staff at the Liverpool branch were excellent. They explained in detail -
honestly and without hidden 'surprises' - what the procedure would entail and what the outcome benefits would be. Once I decided to go
ahead with the treatment the communication was clear and informative and the prices were transparent.
Without doubt, I found the
initial treatment extremely painful and difficult to manage; however, the clinical staff (namely Dr Nirmal Kakani and Julie) were
amazing. Patient, supportive, reassuring and gentle.....they helped me get through the procedure and walk out happy that the main veins
had been treated. Wearing stockings for 2 weeks after was, initially, uncomfortable but by Day 3 they felt comforting and I was used to
them. I was playing netball in them by Day 4! The follow up treatment was a breeze in comparison and I am currently in stockings for a
further 2 weeks, which in the Winter months are actually helping me to keep warm! After the initial treatment I saw amazing results once
the stockings came off. Immediately I knew it had been worth it. Hopefully after this second treatment the last couple of bumpy veins
will disappear too. My confidence to wear shorts/skirts has felt great and the pain/discomfort during some of the treatments have long
been forgotten.
