The Veincentre is reasonably priced compared to other centres. Treatment was successful and the treatment team were highly competent,
professional and kind. Despite the treatment being uncomfortable (but not especially painful), I enjoyed being with the team. I am
delighted to be free of varicose veins and the associated pain and discomfort after many years.

Did a lot of research online before I chose to go with the Veincentre in Bristol and have no regrets with my choice. From the first
call for a consultation to my last visit 10 days ago for the foam injections have been more than happy with everything. The
consultation was very informative, I found out the cause of my veins and what the procedure involved. The procedure was not painful
albeit a little uncomfortable, lasted just over 3hrs, Recovery was as the information pack said it would be, a lot of tightening in
the legs but managed with normal painkillers. Legs were a little bruised, as you would expect after having veins pulled out but no more
lumpy legs. Have not long taken the support socking off after the foam injections and don't recognise them as mine. So happy with the
results, can't wait for the summer, haven't said that for many years. Thank you to all concerned, one very happy patient.

After thinking there was no hope for me, i went and had a consultation with Dr West. He said i had to be realistic and it would take
time but there was hope. I am still under going treatment but am very pleased with the results i am getting.Would definately recommend
having the treatment, but give yourself some healing time before going on holiday.

Having had one leg stripped of varicose veins 20yrs ago under general anaesthetic this advance in treatment is great . If i have to be
brutally honest it was a bit more uncomfortable than i anticipated but i was knocked out last time but it was quite tolerable and Dr
Jones and her assistant were great and made me feel really relaxed throughout. The 2nd week was uncomfortable with the tightening in
the leg but by day 10 it was easing off. It was worth it all and the veins have gone????

Having already had a consultation and quote from a major private healthcare provider (Nuff said), I was extremely pleased with the
difference in attending the Bristol Veincentre, on all counts. Customer Care was excellent - I was put at ease and made to feel both
welcome and comfortable at all times. I even had my favourite music played for me during procedures. The information provided, both
verbally and via leaflets and the web site was comprehensive and useful - far better than the scruffy hand-drawn diagram I received from
my previous consultation. The price quoted was just over half what I had been quoted elsewhere. And Dr Lyn Jones was just superb. I
have already recommended the Veincentre to 2 of my friends and will continue to do so. The only reason I have given 4* to the "results"
question is that my treatment was very recent, so it is still early days, but all the signs are excellent.

From the time I arrived at the clinic I was put at ease and all staff were friendly and helpful. Dr Mark Regi was extremely reassuring
and explained precisely what he would be doing at every stage of the treatment. The procedure was carried out in the most professional
manner and Dr Regi demonstrated the highest level of care and attention throughout. At the end of the treatment Dr Regi made sure that I
was aware of what progress to expect over the days, weeks and months ahead. When I left the clinic I felt that the treatment I had
received was first class in every respect. It was only in the weeks following my procedure did I realise quite how good the treatment
was. My ugly knobbly veins and staining were now smooth and the swelling on my feet had reduced significantly. After three months I
could not be happier or more satisfied with the outcome. I cannot praise Dr Regi enough and I have no hesitation in recommending him and
the Bristol Vein Centre to anyone considering this treatment.

From the moment i contacted the vein centre i felt confident i chose the right clinic to have my laser surgery. very polite and helpful
throughout every phone call and email with my 100 questions. the day of my appointment feeling very nervous not knowing what to expect
as i was having the consultation and treatment the same day i was made to feel at ease and relaxed. Dr Lyn Jones was great explaining
everything to me and very friendly and nurse Pauline i couldn't fault too,she was so chatty making me feel more relaxed throughout the
treatment and even popped a sweet in my mouth when it went dry :) i couldn't be happier with the results of the laser surgery i had in
June 2016, i have to have another set of foam injections but so far my legs are looking great so im real excited to return to see Dr Lyn
Jones and finish the treatment. would recommend this clinic 100%

Already had 3 NHS invasive operations to remove varicose veins so acknowledge I have a serious venal problem.. Now 70 years old but
wanted a last chance to wear skirts. Sadly the results not as expected and like other reviewers have developed more veins seemingly
exacerbated by the treatment .I realise that I am in the minority but I did not feel that my subsequent complaint was resolved with any
empathy (no doubt this will be contested by the Clinic!) I would recommend the clinic to "first timers" but NOT to those with more
serious issues.

We are very sorry to hear that this patient is dissatisfied with the service he or she has received. It is upsetting to read that they felt we did not resolve the complaint with empathy but strongly suspect that what is meant was that we were unwilling to undertake further necessary sclerotherapy free of charge. More sclerotherapy is most likely what this patient needs and we will have told them that we are very happy to undertake this to resolve the problems and still hope that they contact us to arrange this.



We go out of our way to ensure that all patients are fully informed about chances of success, how many sclerotherapy sessions will be likely needed, risks and side effects. We deal with around 2,000 patients every year and most are entirely happy with our service. You cannot however please all of the people all of the time and of the low number of complaints we receive almost all relate to either skin staining or to slow resolution of very small veins especially thread veins. We try to stress to everyone that thread veins can take much longer to resolve than the larger varicose veins and more than one injection session is frequently required. We are quite open about the price of this. We also, uniquely we think, put images of skin staining on our website under a page devoted to risks and side effects.



Despite such information patients can be upset when side effects occur or when thread veins take a long time to resolve and especially when the costs of extra sessions of sclerotherapy exceed what they had planned. We have recently had two patients who threatened to leave bad reviews if we did not carry out further standard treatment without charge.



We have a policy not to accede to such demands as it would then unfairly mean we would have to increase the charges to those who only need one follow up appointment to compensate.



Unfortunately running a private medical clinic is very expensive and prices of procedures reflect that but we try our very best to keep prices as low as we can.



As to the comment "I would recommend the clinic to "first timers" but NOT to those with more serious issues." I can assure patients with more serious issues that we have huge experience and great success in dealing with all aspects of venous disease including recurrence after surgery, extensive pelvic problems and nasty leg ulceration.



Persistent or new development of thread veins can be a serious issue to many patients. We can deal with them but it does take time and costs money.

I had varicose veins on both legs, which appeared during pregnancy and never disappeared. I saw Dr West for treatment, and am really
pleased with the results. The clinic (Bristol) was really great - conveniently located, spotless and accommodating. The communication
was excellent and I was immediately put at ease. The treatment itself was done as quickly and efficiently as possible, and the nurse who
assisted Dr West was brilliant. I did find the treatment itself uncomfortable, but it was 100% worth it. For the first time in years, I
have been wearing shorts and skirts!

Recently had treatment for a large varicose vein and am really pleased with the service and professionalism at Veincentre Bristol.
Everything was explained thoroughly during the process and what I could expect to happen in the months following treatment. I felt
comfortable, able to ask questions and I would highly recommend this practice. Loving the improvements on my leg already.
