Right from the initial consultation I felt that my concerns were being taken into consideration. The surgery was fully explained in
simple form and it was very easy to understand. On the day of admission the staff were very caring and took time to fully explain what
was going to be done. The surgery itself went ahead without any problems and I am happy to say that I am well on my way to a full
recovery. Thank you staff for your kindness.

Positives: In the room 5 mins before a Nurse came in, tagged me and did my checks Surgeon came in and explained everything
clearly Anaesthetist came in and explained their role clearly Op went without a hitch Post-Op sandwich and cuppa was
awesome!! Opportunities to Improve: Planning and Communication Planning - to many procedures booked for the afternoon meant the
surgeon had to ask for anyone willing to come back at a later date Communication: No-one told me to get ready for surgery until the
person came to collect me Communication: Night shift Nurse didn't know I had eaten, and I had to chase every 30 mins to allow my
release Efficiency: Night Nurse was incredibly slow on processing - although I don't see her total workload so probably unfair

I have had around 14 Operations of one kind or another to date & I have to say this was my best ever experience to date & I don't say
this lightly as I am the worst patient ever as would sooner look after others that is what I have done like forever. I can not praise
all the staff enough that I came into contact with they made my stay as comfortable as possible and even called me at home afterwards.
My Consultant Mr Khalid Salem is the best most friendliest Surgeon I have met by far & I have worked with a few not too mention been
operated on by many. His communication skills in explaining the procedure in layman terms excellent, his time is valuable but he gave it
willingly he his highly skilled and very humble & I do hope I have not embarrassed him by saying so as I also praised him on LI we do
not praise our talented surgeons enough or the staff that support him so THANK YOU ALL.

Firstly the surgeon I am seeing mr szypryt is excellent and like all surgeons works out of various hospitals. My review is with
reference the fact that every time I’ve walked into this hospital and asked a question or tried to book appointments the staff
automatically assume you are using the NHS, when I’m paying privately. Why does this matter? If paying you don’t need to wait for
letters and everything is faster also you are like it or not treated differently. After seeing the surgeon yesterday he told me to go
book an mri and come back see him after scan. So I go to reception and ask to book an MRI and I’m abruptly told no you need to wait
for a letter to do that, I then said seriously the surgeon just told me to come book it. The member of staff then said “you are NHS
right” to which I said no I pay myself. Oh she said let me ring and sort your booking out! The Hospital need to decide what they want,
do they want to be a full NHS hospital and work as all NHS hospitals not charging a premium to the NHS for treating NHS patients or they
are a private hospital were as I and many others are happy to pay a premium for the treatment but clearly you can’t manage both! I
will finish my treatment at this hospital and will choose not to use this hospital again, I will drive that little bit further and use
the spire.
