After waiting a year, I was asked if I would go further afield to get my operation done and was offered a place at Woodlands Private
Hospital
I appreciate that covid has made waiting lists longer, but I felt that the whole experience totally unacceptable, from
arriving to going home, after initial booking in and all my paperwork printed with my wrong date of birth, I was given a gown and pants
and surgery stockings, with no help or support, then left for 3 hours waiting in a cubicle, a very brief visit from surgeon and
anesthetist, which gave me no confidence at all, I was collected, and had to walk, no orderly or chair exposing all my backside in
these stretchy pants and being of an age I could not tie my gown at the back, this young guy offered to do this for me, my nurse after
the operation was very attentive, but it seemed so important to get me up and out of the hospital as quick as possible, my daughter
collected me at 10.30pm, who would have needed the bed at that time of night, I felt I was part of a rushed in and out problem. i have
3 wonderful hospitals in Leicester and also our wonderful Private hospitals, and even during my visits to them during covid, they were
the most kindest and caring people I have known. So I do not have a happy memory of your Hospital
