From the moment I stepped inside Cardiff Bay hospital for the initial consultation I felt completely at ease. On meeting my prospective
Surgeon MR ALAN WOODWARD, I knew I was in caring hands.
He is such a lovely man, and as he explained what would happen all my anxieties
completely disappeared and I knew I would be in safe hands.
My surgery took place at The Vale Hospital, where once again on entering i
felt totally relaxed. The sunny room I was taken to had everything a patient would need. Every member of staff I met were also friendly
and kind.
On being taken into the theatre MR WOODWARD and his efficient theatre staff chatted to me throughout the whole procedure. Mr
Woodward explained every step of the way what he was doing and he asked every few minutes if I felt comfortable, something I did not
expect. Once the day surgery was over, within a couple of hours I was on my way home again.
The follow up and discharge two weeks later
at The Bay Hospital also left me full of praise. Well done Nuffield, that together with the skill of my Surgeon, Mr Woodward made the
whole experience from start to finish first class!
