So pleased I chose this hospital as my choice of care for my gallbladder removal. Clean, friendly and well-maintained grounds. I
arrived for my admission 25 minutes early but it was no issue and I was swiftly taken to my room. Then visited by various staff and
explanations to what was happening was good. The only thing I would say was to update your staff on HRT guidelines as I had no idea
whether to keep my transdermal patch on or off. The Nurses Said on, one doc said off, then another said keep on. This needs to made
clear in the admission letter.
Also due to it being my first operation, I wasn't ready to be discharged the same day as had an
operation after 2:15pm and one nurse seemed to get a bit flustered with me, as I wasn't ready by the discharge time, but I had no idea
my blood pressure would drop and I wouldn't be able to eat anything due to sickness. Perhaps the food choices need looking at as giving
people a solid chunky sandwich after being nil by month all day and then reacting to the drugs wasn't digestible, maybe some soup and a
bread roll would be helpful to start with. We are private patients after all. Other than those two little points that could be improved
on, I would have no hesitation in using this hospital again or recommending to others.
