We never really got as far as having treatment. Whilst the initial response from the Dunedin was swift, the communication between
consultant's secretary and myself was really very poor. The first response by the secretary had actually been sent to the consultant
rather than myself. The secretary then literally forwarded the consultant's response (which pointed out that the secretary had sent the
email intended for myself to the consultant) adding her own comments. Whilst charges were given, there was no real clarity about what
would happen at the first appointment. I could not do the date given and asked for alternatives but, 10 days on, no reply from the
secretary. I have never had such poor service from any hospital - private or NHS. I am unable to comment on the environment as we have
never reached the stage of being able to book an appointment but most of the other ratings above were pretty disappointing.
